An anonymous string created from your email address (hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you have an account.

After the comment is approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of the comment.

Media
If you upload images to the site, it is recommended to avoid uploading images that include location data (EXIF GPS).
Visitors to the site can download and extract location data from the images.

Cookies
When leaving a comment on the site, you can choose to save your name, email, and website in a cookie file – for convenience when leaving further comments. These files are stored for one year.
If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie will be set that checks whether the browser accepts cookies. The cookie does not contain personal information and is deleted when the browser is closed.
